An Evidence-Based Approach to Evaluating and Treating Shoulder Conditions
Patients with orthopedic shoulder conditions commonly present to athletic training clinics. The combination of complex anatomy, the multitude of special tests, and variability in clinical presentation and response to treatment creates a challenging clinical decision making process for athletic trainers working with shoulder conditions. This presentation will recommend evidence-based approaches for evaluating and treating shoulder conditions due to contractile and mobility issues. We will discuss key information to gather in the evaluation process to make a differential diagnosis and develop a individualized treatment and rehabilitation program for patients.
