These courses are not required for students pursuing the Medical Humanities Minor, but are very useful background education for many of our course options.

- PHIL 1020: Contemporary Moral Problems
- PHIL 1210: Critical Reasoning
- PSYC 1010: Introduction to Psychology I
- PSYC 1020: Introduction to Psychology II *
- RELI 1010: Introduction to World Religions
- SOC 1010: Introductory Sociology
- WGST 2010: Introduction to Women's and Gender Studies: Social and Behavioral Science
* All of these courses count toward General Education Requirements with the exception of PSYC 1020.
