Background
Scott is currently focused on completing his graduate work in History and is currently completing his thesis research in the hope of completing his masters’ work prior to Summer 2022. Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1996 (with majors in History and Political Science) and received his juris doctorate from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1999. Along with his history studies, Scott is learning French and is a practicing attorney at the law firm of Kutak Rock LLP here in Omaha. His legal practice is focused on taxation and community development and his history studies are focused mainly on colonial and revolutionary America, British Constitutional history and pre- and post-Canadian history. Outside of class and his legal work, Scott is married with two teenage daughters and stays busy by running, cooking and riding his motorcycle.
