The Sam and Frances Fried Holocaust and Genocide Academy promotes and facilitates the scholarly study of the Holocaust and other genocides. We recognize student achievement that raises awareness of Holocaust and genocide history.

Awards Requirements
Sam Fried Memorial Prize Awarded to the student who completes HIST 4720: The Holocaust and earns the highest grade in the course
Frances Fried Award Awarded to the student who completes HIST 4740: Comparative Genocide and earns the highest grade in the course
Holocaust and Genocide Studies Award Awarded to the student who complets PSCI 4260: International Law and earns the highest grade in the course.

Rules: UNO faculty must contact the Fried Academy indicating the name of the student who received the highest grade in each course. Please submit applications to the following: friedacademy@unomaha.edu

Funding for this fellowship has been generously provided by the Sam and Frances Fried Holocaust and Genocide Education Fund. Value of awards are at the discretion of the Awards Committee.
