Outside the Classroom Learning

Involvement in student organizations can provide positive social interaction, community service opportunities and valuable real-world experience.

Green Basis - The new and improved Green Basis is a student organization invested in promoting environmental awareness and sustainability by sponsoring speakers, tours, documentaries and student initiatives to better educate both the public and our members. We also lead hikes and clean ups of various parks, rivers and lakes. Become an active member today! Come to meetings and events and if you have any questions please contact any of our officers through their email posted on our profile.

NE STEM 4U - We are a student-run organization at the University of Nebraska at Omaha that is committed to bringing quality, after-school science, technology, engineering, and mathematics activities to disadvantaged elementary and middle school students within the Omaha Public Schools.

Pre-Health Professionals Club - The purpose of the organization is to provide members with a broad-spectrum idea of all areas of healthcare through weekly speakers.

Students United for Global Health - The goal of SUGH is to bring awareness of local and global health issues to UNO campus and actively fundraise and advocate for the development of healthcare in parts of the world that are most in need. SUGH is devoted to global health engagement and service.

Women in Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics - WiSTEM is dedicated to encouraging women's success in the STEM fields. We provide opportunities that will help women find their way to the STEM fields, support them throughout their academic career, and guide their path to fulfilling careers. All students are welcome to join us in advocating for women in STEM.
