Program Learning Outcomes

SLO 1: Students will compile, critically evaluate, synthesize, and apply information and data to group discussions, annotated bibliographies, and final written and oral reports specific to environmental issues.

SLO 2: Students will summarize their professional qualifications in a resume and cover letter to acquire and complete an internship in an environmental field: the specific skills a student will demonstrate through completion of the internship will be defined through an agreement form developed by the student and sponsored and approved by the program director.

SLO 3: Students will synthesize and analyze existing data to produce a technically sound written environmental document that meets regulatory guidelines.

SLO 4: Students will demonstrate effective and professional oral communication skills through an environmental proposal or final project presentation.

SLO 5: Students will demonstrate the ability to use standard tools for organizing, manipulating, analyzing and presenting environmental data.

SLO 6: Students will demonstrate proficiency in applying standard GIS tools to environmental projects.
