Career Information:
Political Science majors study the origin, development, and operation of political systems and public policy. Students are exposed to the issues of political organization, action, policy, and governance. Political science is a versatile major and helps develop skills and understanding useful in a variety of settings. Students with a degree in political science may find careers in government, law enforcement, politics, nonprofit administration, public relations, journalism, broadcasting, business, education, and research. Political science study can prepare students for law school. It will also provide the necessary knowledge to pursue other advanced degrees, if desired.
