Undergraduate Major Honorees 

Academic units identify undergraduate major honorees through processes established within the unit or college. Honorees must be a graduating senior completing degree requirements in August, December, or May, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above and must be in good academic standing (i.e., not on probation, no disciplinary action, no current student conduct issues). Honorees should exemplify the best facets of the program and serve as student exemplars who represent the program in its best light. 

Dean's Award 

Undergraduate major honorees are forwarded to the Dean’s Office of their respective colleges and the Dean’s Award is selected from those nominees.

Chancellor’s Outstanding Academic Achievement Award 

The award is selected from the Dean’s Award recipients. This involves a committee reviewing the nominations and making a recommendation to the Senior Vice Chancellor for approval.

Chancellor’s Outstanding Student Leadership Award 

Student Life and Wellbeing identifies nominees for this award forwards a recommendation to the Senior Vice Chancellor for approval.

Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Research or Creative Activity 

Selection of the recipient is based on a combination of outstanding research or creative activity as demonstrated through scholastic endeavors and achievements. The recipient is selected from the Dean's Award recipients. 

Outstanding Student Athlete Awards 

Student athlete awards are selected by Athletics according to a process developed by their office. Athletics typically recognizes one male and one female student honoree.

Outstanding Service Learning Student Award 

The service learning award is selected by the Director of the Service Learning Academy according to a process developed by that office. 

Helen Hansen Outstanding Graduate Student Award 

Graduate student awards are selected by the Dean of Graduate Studies according to a process developed by the Office of Graduate Studies.
