United Way and Give Nebraska Campaigns

  1. UNO
  2. Office of the Chancellor

From November 17 through December 5, 2025

This annual effort is so important to who we are as a campus community because, as we say, "Omaha is our campus" and when we say that we do not simply talk the talk, we walk the walk. Every little bit helps us reach our goal!

United Way of the Midlands

United Way of the Midlands

With your support, we can continue to help those who are struggling right here in the metro. When you make a gift, you’re investing in more than 100 local nonprofit programs alongside thousands of other donors. Together, these programs are addressing pressing social and economic disparities and meeting families’ essential needs, such as healthy food, a safe place to go after school, and a stable job. That means, with just one donation, you are creating an entire circle of support around our community. Because UWM is committed to keeping our costs low, you can feel good knowing nearly 93¢ of every dollar you donate is going back into our community.

How to Donate to United Way Online

It's easy to make an online-pledge! United Way has set up a one-stop shop portal to help you choose the donation method that works well for you.

  1. Visit the donation website
  2. For User ID, type in your eight digit NU ID number
  3. For Password, type in Community25!
  4. Click the Login button (you do not need to create an account)
  5. Update your password if needed

You can choose to donate through a one-time online payment via Credit Card or being billed directly by United Way. As an additional option, benefits-eligible employees can also opt to make one payment or a series of payments over the course of a year through a payroll deduction.

Give Nebraska

Give Nebraska

As an alternative or in addition to supporting the United Way of the Midlands, faculty and staff are also asked to consider supporting Give Nebraska. Founded by Nebraska nonprofits for Nebraska nonprofits, Give Nebraska makes it easy to donate to the local causes you care most about. With the Give Nebraska giving model, no gift is too small. Whether giving $1 or $5, your dollars, combined with contributions from workers across the state, are critical in supporting our community. Give Nebraska is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, as are all of its member agencies. Gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
