Certain health care services are at no cost to students who pay the University Program and Facilities Fee (UPFF). UPF Fees do not cover all possible charges at Nebraska Medicine UNO Health Center.
Students who take at least one on-campus course during the current semester pay the University Program and Facilities Fee as part of their tuition package. These students can receive certain UNO Health Center services for no additional charge.
- Student fees are active the first day of the month that the semester starts until the day before the next semester starts. Please consult the UNO Academic Calendar for start/stop dates as these will change annually.
- Students who are not currently enrolled (or enrolled in exclusively “off campus” credits) will NOT receive fee covered services during semesters in which they’re not enrolled.
Overview of Services Covered by UPF Fees That Will Incur a Fee
The health center fee does not cover all possible charges at the health center. Here is an overview of which services are generally covered by student fees and which will incur a charge:

In addition to the covered services above, all currently enrolled UNO students, regardless of whether or not they pay the health center fee, are eligible to receive a 35% discount on laser vision correction services at Truhlsen Eye Institute. You must show your NCard during the consultation to receive the discount.
