Bio

Matthew Wein is a national security policy expert who has advised cabinet secretaries, federal government agency heads, members of Congress and corporate leaders. He has extensive experience in the federal government, particularly in developing and analyzing complex national security policy issues.  
 
During his career at the Department of Homeland Security, in the private sector, and as a congressional staffer, he worked extensively on security issues with leading practitioners and partners from Afghanistan, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the U.K., Yemen and others along with leading strategic engagement, diplomatic efforts, and providing policy advice. 
 
Over the course of his career, Wein led government delegations to negotiate international law enforcement cooperation, organized congressional hearings on topics of international and domestic terrorism and reforms to the U.S. Intelligence Community, and helped build groundbreaking security programs. 
 
In the private sector Wein focuses his efforts on working with executives and decision-makers to design effective strategies, develop successful communications programs, and connect technology and security practitioners to the policy world. He is a member of the University of Florida Hall of Fame.
