Join us in Omaha, Nebraska for the 2024 Hispanic Language Symposium.

Conference Location

The Hispanic Linguistics Symposium 2024 will take place at the Milo Bail Student Center located on the Dodge Street Campus, University of Nebraska at Omaha.

UNO is centrally located in the metropolitan area of Omaha, Nebraska.


How to Get to UNO

By Plane

Major airlines fly to Eppley Airfield.

  • Fly into the Omaha airport (OMA)
  • Taking a taxi/Lyft/Uber to or from the airport (6.5 miles) to the UNO campus.

By Car

From I-80:

  • Take Exit 449 labeled '72nd Street' and travel north on 72nd Street to Dodge Street.
  • Turn east (right) onto Dodge Street.
  • UNO is located to the south at 69th and Dodge Streets.
  • Parking is available in Lot E for Campus Visitors.
    • Lot E is located in the middle of campus on University Drive North.

Where to Stay

We recommend the following hotels as they are in close proximity to the Dodge campus and on a shuttle route (see below) coming and going to the Milo Bail Student Center.

  • Hilton Garden Inn Omaha Aksarben Village
  • Courtyard by Marriott Omaha Aksarben Village
  • Courtyard Omaha Downtown/Old Market Area (special rate of $139 per night). The final day to reserve a room at the discounted rate will be Wednesday, September 18th. Reservations may be made via this link: Book your group rate for University of Nebraska at Kearney Room Block

Shuttle service

Durango Route

  • Provides service to Scott Court, Scott Crossing, Criss Library, Maverick/University Village, and Milo Bail Student Center
  • Operates from 7 A.M. to 7 P.M. (MON-THU), during fall/spring when classes are in session
  • Runs continuously, arriving approximately every 15-20 minutes
  • From 7 A.M. to 10 A.M. (MON-THU), shuttles stopping at Scott Court will not stop at Scott Crossing and shuttles stopping at Scott Crossing will not stop at Scott Court.
