Housing Availability and Quality Grow as Concerns in Nebraska

9-26-23 | Research by UNO CPAR has shown that job opportunities have been a main driver of domestic migration away from Nebraska. However, in 2022 housing availability and quality have grown as concerns. Explore these topics in a brief on housing availability and quality in Nebraska.

Housing Perceptions in Nebraska

1-9-23 | CPAR partnered with the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority to conduct analysis of focus group data regarding housing perceptions in Nebraska for the statewide strategic housing plan. Over 170 responses were analyzed and provide key insights on challenges and opportunities related to housing in Nebraska. A recent article in the Nebraska Examiner describes a new Nebraska ‘housing council’ assembled to implement the Nebraska Strategic Housing Framework, which includes CPAR’s analysis.

COVID-19 Impact on Nebraska Businesses

7-27-20 and 5-14-20 | The State of Nebraska, the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce, the University of Nebraska and several local project partners came together to develop and share the Nebraska Business Response Survey, Rounds One and Two, to understand the impact COVID-19 is having on the revenue and workforce of organizations across the state and find the best ways to support our business and nonprofit community during this crisis.

Nebraska's Youth and Education Governance

11-1-19 | In 2019, we were asked by the Planning Committee of the State Legislature to explore the education system in Nebraska. The report, Nebraska's Youth and Education Governance, focuses on who the students of Nebraska are, the governance system for K-12 education, and the finance system for K-12 education.

2-27-19 | Last fall, CPAR analyzed voter turnout data to provide a picture of who might show up to the polls for the 2018 midterm election. Now that the election is over, we share a picture of who actually did show up on our new 2018 Nebraska Voter Turnout infographic.

2-2-19 | In anticipation of the 2018 midterm election, CPAR analyzed voter turnout data to provide a picture of who might show up to the polls. The research showed young and middle-aged voters in Nebraska vote at lower levels than other age groups.
