Students who successfully complete the qualifications of the EACT program will be eligible for Nebraska certification.

EACT is a two-year program that allows individuals to work full-time during the school year as a Paraprofessional while taking certification classes. The second year, EACT candidates will be eligible for a Transitional Teaching Permit, which will allow them to be hired by districts to be full-time classroom teachers with a contract, salary, and benefits.

Graduate credit hours earned in the program may be applied to the requirements for a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education.
