The future of our community and nation depends on what happens every day in the lives of children, and the need for outstanding and well-trained teachers and education leaders is greater than ever.

Our Teacher Education Programs are designed to help you:

  • Develop and enhance your teaching and leadership skills.
  • Design engaging, authentic instruction for today’s students.
  • Embrace culturally responsive strategies and diverse perspectives.
  • Expand your professional connections with colleagues from other school districts.

Program Benefits and Highlights:

  • Accelerated certification options lead to elementary or secondary teacher certification in as little as 12 months.
  • Coursework required for teacher certification is applied towards a master’s degree in Elementary or Secondary Education.
  • Each student is assigned a trained support team consisting of school district and UNO faculty to provide professional and educational leadership in the school environment.
  • Immersion in the culture of an elementary or secondary school provides students the opportunity to immediately apply teaching strategies learned in coursework.
