Research Interests:
Maddie’s research interests include sports injury rehabilitation, neuromuscular function, and biomedical device design. She is currently working on identifying movement profiles of individuals with lower extremity injury and athletes through development of custom-written code applications (MATLAB, Python, R).
Personal Background (Brief):
While originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Maddie attended South Dakota State University where she studied Mechanical Engineering and competed on the Division I Track and Field team. From there, she pursued graduate education in Biomechanics, which allowed her to combine technical knowledge with a desire to help individuals heal from injury. In her free time, Maddie enjoys running, biking, and going birdwatching with her husband!
Maddie served as a Lumen Christi missionary and helped lead faith formation for children in grades K-12.
