Additional Information

About John

Graduate Program: MS in Biomechanics with a Sports Concentration

Undergraduate degree: BS in Biomechanics @ University of Nebraska-Omaha, 2024

Research Interests: Baseball pitching kinematics with an emphasis on shoulder mechanics. Use of surface electromyography to understand activation patterns within the pitching motion to relate to performance as well as risk of injury.

Personal Background: I was born and raised in Kearney, NE where I was active in all sports but primarily baseball. Through my passion of sports, I began to have an interest in injury and the mechanisms behind it. This fostered an interest in pursuing a career in medicine to work in the orthopedics. You can often find me watching any and all sports or playing golf and softball in my free time (if I have any).
