Research Interests: Ikheon’s current research focuses on gait analysis in individuals with chronic ankle instability under unconstrained environments. He is interested in integrating biomechanical and cognitive approaches to better understand the characteristics and adaptations associated with chronic ankle instability. His broader research interests include injury prevention, neuromuscular control and enhancing athlete performance.
Personal Background: Originally from Geochang, South Korea, Ikheon is an athletic training student and graduate researcher. His long-term career goal is to help healthcare professionals implement evidence-based practice through education and research. Outside of academics and clinical work, he enjoys staying active through Olympic weightlifting and judo.
Fun Fact: Ikheon has been fighting the aging curve since successfully squatting 463 lbs.
