Senior Q&A

What are your ultimate career goals?

I would like to have a successful career in the fashion industry if possible. Whether it be as a model or working in the more technical side through marketing and development, I believe the fashion industry is a deeply misunderstood and heavily judged field that I not only have a passion for, but also feel I can help to potentially improve. I feel this initial role I have accepted as a technology salesperson will give me the skills to promote my ideas for the industry in a convincing and informative way. Ultimately, I hope to be able to have some time of influence in an industry that I care a lot about.

What will you miss most about the Scholars Academy?

I would say I will miss my friends the most. I have met some of my best friends through the Scholar's Academy and will miss having those connections when I leave. I was even able to make friends outside of my cohort which is something that I think is rare in academic settings. This was a great starting point for my college social life and I am going to miss those friends so much.

Why should a high school student consider applying for the Scholars Academy?

Not only are the scholarships amazing and really take off the pressure of paying for college, the connections you make through the Scholars Academy are so valuable. It almost seems like scholars get the first stab at any new business internship or important company connection and being a member of this program is extremely impressive to potential employers on a resume. The Scholars Academy will open so many doors for you before you even get to college!
