CAB Lab Research Study Procedure

In order to collaborate with the lab on research, it is important to make sure that researchers are properly trained to create and administer their own study. The CAB Lab has a list of procedures and expectations for research studies.

For more information on the research process, click the button below and contact the director, Dr. Muntaha Bani Hani, at muntahabanihani@unomaha.edu.

Technology & Amenities

Eye-Tracking

At the lab, one of our main sensors is our eye-tracker. This sensor can track where participants look at on a screen, how long they fixate on those areas, blink rate, and more.

GSR

Another commonly used sensor in the lab is GSR, or Galvanic Skin Response. This sensor is attached to a participant's hand and measures the conductance of their skin, which then shows any peaks in arousal.

FACET

FACET is a highly valuable asset to the lab and its research. The lab uses a camera with facial expression analysis software to classify participants voluntary and involuntary facial movements as expressions.
