Biography
Kerry Ward received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from Indiana University and his M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Ward holds a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University – Indianapolis and a B.A. in Psychology from Wabash College. His professional experience includes seven years in public accounting and consulting with firms such as Deloitte and Touché and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Prior to that Dr. Ward spent seven years as an officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Teaching Interests
Dr. Ward's current teaching assignments includes courses related to Enterprise Resource Planning with Epicor's Kinetic, Risk Management in IT, Information Warfare and Research Methods.
Research Interests
Dr. Ward's research interests include enterprise resource planning, information technology in law enforcement, information warfare and research methods. Kerry's work has been published in top journals such as the Journal of the AIS, European Journal of Information Systems, The Database for Advancement in Information Systems, and IEEE IT Professional.
Service Summary
Dr. Ward has served as the co-chair for Research Methods track at AMCIS, Research Methods mini-track for HICSS and for the Paradigmatic Diversity in IS Research Methods mini-track for AMCIS 2013. Dr. Ward has served as an ad hoc reviewer for several top journals. In addition, he has served on several college committees including the Doctoral Program Committee, Graduate Program Committee and the Judicial Committee.
