There are tons of ways to get involved at UNO. The best place to start is the Office of Student Activities. This office—located on the first floor of the Student Center—is the place to go to if you want to be involved on campus. The different organizations on campus were created to suit the diverse interests of students on UNO’s campus.

Presidential Award for Economic Opportunity

UNO has been awarded the 2014 Presidential Award for the Economic Opportunity category.

This award, presented by President Barack Obama, recognizes institutions with service programs that build economic independence, increase family stability, and create more sustainable and resilient communities.

Institutions applying in this category will be engaged in service that improves the financial well-being and security of economically disadvantaged individuals.
