The mission of the University of Nebraska at Omaha School of Social Work is to educate students to become highly qualified social workers who serve people of all ages and influence the systems that affect them, to advance knowledge through teaching and research, and to engage with diverse communities to promote socially just societies.

BSSW Students in "The Legacy of Grace Abbott" Shirts, Dr. Nancy Kelley-Gillespie, and the CPACS Dean and Executive Associate to the Chancellor, Dr. B. J. Reed celebrate Spring in front of the new CPACS building to open before the Fall semester.

New Student Orientation

Todd L. RecklingMSW Student Orientation was held on Monday, May 12, 2008. This was to welcome new students into the program and help them learn about many aspects of the school. Todd L. Reckling, Division of Children and Family Services Administrator, Policy Section and Barry DeJong (not pictured), Eastern Service Area Administrator for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, presented information about social work positions for the state.
