State Licensure and Certification

Professional certification and licensure requirements differ from state to state. If you are planning to pursue a professional licensure or certification in a state other than Nebraska, we do strongly recommend that you contact the appropriate licensing entity in that state to seek information and guidance regarding licensure or certification requirements before beginning an academic program.

As required by the Department of Education, UNO maintains a list of degree programs that lead to state licensure or certification required for entry into a profession.

Accreditation

UNO is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). HLC accreditation applies to the entire institution. It includes all programs, all locations, and all delivery modalities offered, including in-person, online, distance, and remote delivery.
