Lisa Larsen, Ed.D., serves as Chief Executive Officer of Education Design Lab, leading a national movement to redesign the learn-and-work ecosystem around skills, equity, and opportunity. A former community college president and lifelong champion of learners, Lisa brings deep experience for transforming education to meet the needs of learners, employers and colleges.
Since joining the Lab in 2021, Lisa has guided one of the most critical and fastest growing programs, the Community College Growth Engine program and other innovations that are reshaping how learners access education, gain skills, and demonstrate their potential.
Before joining the Lab, Lisa served as president of Eastern Maine Community College and in multiple leadership roles across the Minnesota State system. Her career reflects a steadfast belief that when education and workforce partners co-design with intention, learners and the communities they serve - can thrive.
