Is it an Invitational or a Regional Tournament?

Our tournaments rules (for tournaments before the state tournament) fall somewhere between Invitational Rules and Regional Rules. Students and coaches in Nebraska treat the tournaments as regionals even though teams to not have to qualify at a regional tournament to attend the state tournament. The director is in full support of calling our pre-state tournaments regional tournaments, especially those run through ESUs of Nebraska. With that said, they may be called Invitationals at times and please know that they are the same thing at this time in the state of Nebraska. We do encourage you to attend as many tournaments as possible, perhaps including some invitationals outside of Nebraska whether virtually or in person.
