Registration for Team Membership has closed for the 24-25 year. Check back in the fall of 2025 to register for 25-26 Team Membership.

Science Olympiad Team Membership Fees (2024-2025)

Since 1985, all teams participating in any Science Olympiad tournament (Invitational, Regional, State, or National) must be official members of Science Olympiad and pay a national membership fee of $75.In Nebraska, each competing team must also pay a state membership fee of $75, bringing the total membership cost to $150 per competing team.

Additional Exhibition teams are only required to pay the national fee of $75.

All fees collected go towards covering the costs associated with the Science Olympiad. Half of the team fee covers the costs associated with running the national organization. The other half of the team fee partially covers the costs of running the state organization and the state tournament. Team fees cover only a portion of the costs. The state organization and tournament are subsidized by the University of Nebraska system, donors, grants, and the hard work and dedication of an army of volunteers.

Please read the team structure rules before registering below.

Team Structure Rules
