Future of Work at UNO is an annual initiative that brings together students, employers, educators, alumni, and community leaders to explore the ideas shaping tomorrow's workforce.

Each year centers on a common theme that connects conversations and events across the university. Through these experiences, participants explore emerging workforce challenges while strengthening connections between UNO and the Omaha community.

Preparing for What's Next

As artificial intelligence and emerging technologies continue to reshape work, the capabilities that make us uniquely human become even more valuable.

Throughout the 2026-27 academic year, Future of Work events will explore how individuals, organizations, and communities can thrive in an AI-enabled and innovation-driven economy.
