Hwang joined the Center for Public Affairs Research (CPAR) at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in August 2024 as a student research assistant. He is currently working on the Rural Transit project and assisting with literature review, data collection, and data preprocessing. Before joining the CPAR team, he worked as a research assistant at the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements. As a Ph.D. student of public administration, his research interest circles around public budgeting and financial management in local governments.
