As an Omaha native and co-coordinator of the new state-funded rural community internship program, Revitalize and Thrive, Parker is passionate about supporting Nebraska's vibrant rural communities. She joined the Center for Public Affairs Research (CPAR) at the University of Nebraska at Omaha to contribute to research focused on the investment and impact of arts and humanities in communities across the state. She believes this work will help highlight the value of creative and cultural initiatives in strengthening local economies and identities. Parker looks forward to collaborating with CPAR partners and sharing these findings to inspire further community revitalization.
