About

Brian Hantak brings more than 16 years of experience in television production to UNO Television. Before joining UNO TV, he spent eight years at WOWT-TV (First Alert 6) as Lead Technical Media Producer, serving as a Director and Master Control Operator while playing a key role in the station's transition to a new broadcast facility. He also worked at WOWT's sister station, WIFR-TV in Rockford, Illinois, and held Master Control Operator positions in Chicago, Illinois, and Terre Haute, Indiana.

A native of the Chicago area, Brian studied Radio-Television at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he worked at the university's PBS station, WSIU-TV.

Outside of the studio, Brian is an avid Beatles fan and has collected their complete catalog on vinyl. He also enjoys professional wrestling, classic films and television from the 1980s, exploring Omaha's Old Market, and spending time with his cat, Max.
