Assisting UNO Students

As a student, you will give oral presentations throughout your collegiate career and develop competency in communication, critical thinking, and teamwork to excel beyond the university. The UNO Speech Center offers personalized support to help you create, improve, practice, and enhance your communication skills. From developing presentations to practicing listening, the UNO Speech Center will help you develop the skills you need to succeed.


Whether you are new to composing and presenting speeches or already an experienced public speaker, the consultants in the Speech Center offer resources to help you achieve greater success and efficacy.

Public Speaking (CMST 1110 & CMST 2120) Tutoring

Your MavEd requirements provide an opportunity to develop and hone the skills that will help you excel at UNO and beyond. The UNO Speech Center will help you take advantage of this opportunity by helping you refine your fundamental skills in Oral Communication as you “exercise critical thinking skills” by “integrating seemingly disparate areas of knowledge in contexts of uncertainty.”
