Get the most out of your advising appointment

The following are steps you, as the student, can take to prepare for your academic advising appointment.

  • Be familiar with the College of Business Administration section of the Online Undergraduate Catalog.

  • Review the copy of your matriculation form that you received at your last advising appointment. Make note of courses that you need to repeat, if necessary.

  • Make note of courses that are required if you are in the honors program or a student athlete.

  • If still needed, consider the Distribution Requirements you want to take.

  • Select courses for next semester for which you intend to enroll. Be sure to choose some alternates and/or possible evening or online courses.

  • Write down questions that you have for the adviser. Bring your notes and questions to your academic advising appointment.

  • If you are a new or prospective student, please bring any and all unofficial transcripts to your appointment. Be sure to know your MavLINK (NU ID) number and password.
