For Faculty

  1. UNO
  2. AI at UNO

UNO offers faculty opportunities to enhance teaching and research through innovative tools that streamline tasks, personalize learning, and open new avenues for scholarly discovery.

In collaboration with OpenAI, UNO is granting access to the EDU version of ChatGPT for up to 1,600 users (at no cost to the user), allowing for innovative uses of ChatGPT in the classroom and across campus. All full and part-time faculty can apply for access to ChatGPT EDU. Applications are now being accepted on a rolling basis (as long as licenses are available).

Faculty have two options:

This application is for faculty and staff who are wanting to explore how AI can be helpful in operations, research or creative activity, or class preparation and execution. This application is also relevant for faculty and staff who would like their GAs and TAs to have access to ChatGPT while working with them.

Apply for Faculty Use

This application is for faculty that are wanting to incorporate AI into their classrooms and obtain student licenses for students. Faculty can apply for up to 50 ChatGPT Enterprise licenses for students across their classes (some exceptions apply).

Applications for student access in class must be submitted on a semester basis. While any faculty member can apply, when licenses are low, priority will go to faculty who are using AI throughout the entire semester.
