COVID-19 and GI Bill Benefits

UNO is not experiencing changes to VA education benefits for the Fall 2020 term. Click here for more information.

During the Fall 2020 term, OMVS will be certifying the following UNO coded courses as in-person/residence courses with the VA: in-person, hybrid, and remote learning. UNO courses coded as "totally online" will continue to be certified to the VA as distance courses.

Students using Chapter 33 (Post-9/11 GI Bill) or Chapter 31 (Veterans Readiness & Employment) benefits need at least one in-person/residence credit hour to receive the full entitlement amount for the monthly housing allowance.

For questions regarding Fall 2020 benefits, please contact the GI Bill Hotline at 1.888.442.4551 or contact OMVS at 402.554.2349 or email unovets@unomaha.edu

UNO provides regular updates on fall semester operations via the UNO Fall Foward webpage.
