Biography

Lt Col Jordan W. Knaub is the Division Chief of J21 Intelligence Services and Resources, USSTRATCOM, Omaha Ne. He directs a 35 person Joint Force Team to provide strategic deterrence, decisive response, and a combat ready J2 force structure. He executes POTUS assurance & deterrence missions by taking care of people, and mission capabilities through the Command and Control Facility. J21 provides holistic support of USSTRATCOM Commander’s intelligence capability to deter strategic attack, and employ nukes.

Lt Col Knaub earned his commissioned at the US Air Force Academy in May of 2003. His first assignment was Barksdale AFB where he worked as ISR Operator,and deployed to the CAOC in support of OIF/OEF. Lt Col Knaub then worked unit-level intelligence at AIR WARRIOR II/GREEN FLAG-East teaching urban CAS and RECCE Pod tactics for F-16/F-F-15/A-10/B-52 weapon systems. In May 2007, he was assigned to DGS-4 at Ramstein AB. During this tour, he qualified as a Mission Operations Commander, served as the SIGINT Flight Commander, and ran the European Tactics Analysis Team. In May 2010, Lt Col Knaub moved to Robins AFB and flew the opening sorties of Operation ODDEYSEY DAWN as an E-8C JSTARS Intelligence Officer, and was MPC Chief for AFRICOM sorties. Lt Col Knaub then led as 509th Bomb Wing’s Senior Intelligence Officer, Whiteman AFB and worked as a Political Affairs Strategist/Regional Desk Officer for North Africa, and as a Strategy, Plans, and Programs Branch Chief for AFRICOM J2, Kelley Barracks, Germany. Prior to moving home to Omaha, he served as Commander 13th Intelligence Squadron, Recce Town CA. There he led 220 Airmen executing worldwide distributed ISR operations in support of 7 combatant commands. The Dark Knights provided command, control, and integration of global U-2, RQ-4, and compartmented national ISR missions. His team delivered 24/7 resource management across 6 AFSCs on a $775M distributed architecture.

Lt Col Knaub is married to Kelsey Anne Knaub originally from Ogallala, Nebraska and they have two daughters, Oriani Isabella and Anais Jane.
