Additional Information

Hi! My name is Maddy and I am a Junior here at UNO studying Environmental Science with a concentration in geography and a minor in sustainability (and maybe more, but we'll see). Aside from working as a mentor for the exploratory program, I work as a barista at the Mill.

My favorite drink is a London Fog but I also love a good cup of coffee. A fun fact about me is that this summer I spent 2 weeks in London studying sustainability initiatives and policies through a UNO study abroad program. If you too are passionate about the Earth, sustainability, coffee, movies, or music, we should chat! I can't wait to get to know everyone this semester.

What is one piece of advice you have for new Explorers?

One piece of advice that I have for Explorers is finding an on campus club or activity to get involved with. Reaching out to the wider community opens up avenues and bridges to meet other people, form connections with staff and professors, and creates networking skills that may come handy in the future.
