Mahadevan Subramaniam (Subu)
Director, AI-CCORE and Chair, Dept. of Computer Science
Dr. Mahadevan Subramaniam (Subu) is Chair of the Computer Science Department at UNO and Director of AI-CCORE. He leads AI research at the Intelligent Modeling, Simulation, and Testing Laboratory. Previously, he worked in Silicon Valley on compiler design and at NASA Ames Research Center.

Deputy Director, AI-CCORE and Professor, Dept. of Computer Science
Dr. Winter is a full professor at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and previously worked atia National, focusing on software correctness. Since ChatGPT's launch in November 2022, he has become a sought-after speaker on Generative AI.
Derrick Nero
UNO STEM TRAIL Center Associate Director for External Partnerships
Dr. Nero began as an Electrical Engineer and transitioned to education in 2000, focusing on STEM in Omaha Public Schools and collaborating with UNO on robotics. He a full Instructor at UNO in 2014 and a tenured Associate Professor in 2024.

Joel Elson brings expertise in software development and AI implementation to the AI-CCORE team. With a focus on creating practical applications of artificial intelligence, he helps bridge the gap between theoretical research and real-world solutions.
Prashanti Manda
Associate Professor, Dept. of Computer Science
Dr. Prashanti Manda is an Associate Professor at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO), specializing in bioinformatics and data science. She earned her PhD from Mississippi State University (2012), completed postdoctoral work at UNC Chapel Hill, and previously taught at UNC Greensboro. Her NSF CAREER Award-winning research focuses on computational methods for analyzing biological data.
Chun-Hua Tsai
Assistant Professor, Dept. of Information Systems and Quantitative Analysis
Dr. Chun-Hua Tsai conducts research at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Intelligent User Interface (IUI), and Artificial Intelligence (AI). His work focuses on developing fair, trustworthy, and transparent AI through data-driven and human-centered computing approaches, with a particular emphasis on empowering non-expert users and marginalized groups.
Vishva Prasanth Srinivasan
AI Innovation Engineer
Vishva specializes in turning complex AI concepts into clean, working systems. With a strong background in data architecture and enterprise tech, he bridges tools like LLMs, LangChain, and n8n with real-world use cases.
