Former United States Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel and the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) are pleased to announce the Chuck Hagel Symposium in Public Service.

The annual event began in 2018 and has been held in person and virtually. High school students from the greater Omaha metropolitan area are invited to engage with experts in the fields of law, ethics, and public policy — all sharing their perspectives on public service.

The goal of the Symposium is to introduce Omaha’s best and brightest young people to the value and impact of civic engagement, leadership, and service.

If you are a high school student, educator, UNO faculty member, or member of the public who would like more information about the Hagel Symposium and future UNO events, please contact Joe Price, Ph.D., at jprice@unomaha.edu or 402.554.2545.
