Stellic Resources

New incoming students will be introduced to UNO’s next generation degree management tool to build their degree plan, track progress and visualize the impact of courses as their progress toward on-time graduation.  UNO’s new Degree Audit and planning tool, Stellic, will align the entire campus – students, advisors, administrators and University leaders to keeping students on track, informed and career ready!

Stellic empowers students to take charge of their degree plan.  This powerful degree planning software helps students register for the right classes at the right time, alerts students to any issues with their degree path, provides students with options for completing their degree, and even lets students examine alternate degree paths.

What is Stellic?

Stellic is a degree management tool that allows students and advisors to track their progress as they complete degree and major requirements in real time, plan coursework, and take ownership of academic success at UNO.

It will replace DegreeWorks. Stellic should launch in the 2024-25 Academic year to Advisors and staff.

What is Stellic’s Purpose?

The Stellic Degree Audit Application is a student success platform which includes degree planning tools in addition to a degree audit. The Stellic degree planner allows a student to drag and drop courses from the course search into their degree plan, checking for pre-requisites first.

The degree planner also shows the interrelationships between courses, such as which courses are pre-requisites or co-requisites. The Stellic degree audit displays a student’s progress towards degree requirements while allowing for double-counting and exception making.

FAQs for Advisors

Faculty and staff get to Stellic from MavLINK in the same way they previously accessed DegreeWorks!

Stellic shares permissions from MavLINK. Faculty and staff have access to see the degree audits, planner, and schedule tool for students they already have access to in SIS.
