International Study of Movement Behaviors in the Early Years (SUNRISE)

The goal of the SUNRISE study is to measure physical activity, sedentary behaviour and sleep for 3-4 year old children all over the world. With over 60 countries participating, the Developmental Movement and Wellbeing (DMW) research group is one of several sites in the United States participating in the study. Participating children wear an activity monitor for 7 days and take part in assessments to assess motor and cognitive skills. For more information on this global study, please check out the SUNRISE website.
