Support the Schwalb Center for Israel and Jewish Studies

Your thoughtful consideration of a gift in support of the Schwalb Center’s core objectives to build and strengthen the understanding of Israel and Jewish studies among UNO students and engage a broader community is truly appreciated. You can designate your gift to endow in perpetuity one of programs listed below.


Visiting Professorship $100,000

Visiting professorships allow The Schwalb Center to engage distinguished faculty from throughout the world. The main goals for visiting professors to conduct research connected to The Schwalb Center’s mission, teach classes on a range of topic connected to the Center’s mission, and provide lectures for the students, faculty, and the broader community.

Lecture Series $75,000

Lecture Series allow The Schwalb Center to bring top scholars from around the world to engage with students, faculty, and the broader community on a broad range of topics connected to the Center’s mission. In addition to providing lectures, scholars meet with undergraduate and graduate students as well as faculty to discuss current trends in research. Scholars also participate in a variety of workshops on pedagogical and research topics.

Student Internship Program $50,000

The internship program at The Schwalb Center develops appreciation for Israel and Jewish studies by immersing students in real world research and travel experiences. Students participate in research that are intellectually grounded projects related to history, religious studies, philosophy, culture and politics, or other work. Students are encouraged to integrate visits to Israel and relevant Jewish sites that are connected to their research projects for first-hand experiences. The internship program provides students with unique opportunities to broaden their worldviews while developing as emerging scholars.
