Learning Activities
Audio Recognition
Created an audio recognition model to classify and respond to different sound inputs. The model was trained using Teachable Machine with four distinct sound classes: background noise, snapping, knocking, and clapping. The dataset for the model was built using 20 seconds of background noise and 12 seconds of each of the other sounds, all segmented into individual clips.
After training, the model was able to accurately identify the sounds, although it occasionally confused "knocking" and "clapping." This project provides a clear demonstration of audio classification principles and its potential to build interactive systems that react to specific sound cues.
Pose Detection
Developed a pose detection model to create a hands-free gaming experience. The model was trained using Teachable Machine to recognize and interpret five distinct body poses: idle, up, down, left, and right. A comprehensive dataset was created by recording my movements for approximately seven seconds for each pose to ensure a high level of accuracy.
The trained model was then exported and successfully integrated into a car racing game, where it enabled intuitive control of the vehicle by translating my hand and head movements into in-game actions. This project demonstrates the practical application of machine learning for creating interactive and accessible user interfaces.
