How do I schedule an appointment with my academic advisor?

• Log in to MavCONNECT
• Click Schedule an Appointment
• Select the Assigned tab
• Choose your advisor
• Select a topic, then choose a date and time

How do I schedule an appointment with Financial Support and Scholarships?

• Log in to MavCONNECT
• Click Schedule an Appointment
• Select the Teams tab
• Choose Financial Support and Scholarships
• Select a topic, then choose a date and time

What if I don’t see my advisor in MavCONNECT?

• Your advisor may not be using MavCONNECT — check MavLINK for contact information
• You may not have been assigned an advisor yet — refer to your Orientation Canvas course

Why can’t I see any available time slots?

MavCONNECT only shows availability within the next 31 days.

Try this:

• Select a different date and new availability will appear
• Check back later for new availability
• Contact your advisor directly. Contact your advisor directly. Their contact information can be found in MavLINK

Why can I see my advisor but can’t click on their name?

• They may not have any available appointments right now
• Contact them directly via email. Look up their contact information on MavLINK

How do I know if a time slot is available?

• If a time says “Scheduled”, it is available
• If it says “Walk-ins”, it’s for drop-in advising

How do I reschedule an appointment?

• Log in to MavCONNECT
• Select your appointment
• Click Reschedule
• Choose a new time

You’ll receive a confirmation email with the updated details.

How do I cancel an appointment?

• Log in to MavCONNECT
• Select your appointment
• Click Cancel
• Submit a reason for canceling

You’ll receive a confirmation email once it’s canceled.

Will I get a confirmation email?

Yes — you’ll receive an email when you schedule, reschedule, or cancel an appointment.

Is there a deadline to cancel an appointment?

• There’s no official deadline
• Please cancel as soon as possible
• Aim for at least 24 hours in advance when you can

What if my advisor cancels my appointment?

You’ll receive an email notification. Log in to MavCONNECT to schedule a new time.

Tips for managing your appointments

• Schedule early for better time options
• Set a reminder on your calendar
• Prepare questions before your meeting
• Cancel or reschedule as soon as possible if plans change
