Executive and Professional Development Programs are non-credit, therefore are not eligible for traditional forms of financial aid.
You will receive a certificate from the University of Nebraska Omaha College of Business for the courses that you are registered in. These courses are designed to provide you with career skills and prepare you for a specific function.
A certification is a recognized credential that confirms your ability in a particular area. It details a qualification, competence, or authority issued to an individual by a third party. Certifications are often offered through professional organizations and usually require passing an exam.
The Executive and Professional Development Program offers the PMP Exam Prep and the SHRM-CP SHRM-SCP Exam Prep courses. These courses prepare you to take the exam for that respective credential, once you pass the exam, you will receive a credential for that profession. (The exam is not a part of the course.)
All withdrawal or deferral notifications must be sent in writing via email to kkharter@unomaha.edu. Confirmed registrants who do not attend their course(s) are liable for the entire registration fee.
A full refund may only be obtained if notification is received at least 10 days prior to the program start date. Due to program preparation and administration costs, any withdrawals or deferrals received less than 10 days prior to the program start date are subject to penalty fees as described below:
- More than 10 days notice: Full refund minus $50 administrative fee.
- 10 to 3 days' notice; 50% Refund OR 100% deferral to the next program.
- Less than 2 days' notice: 0% OR Refund OR 100% deferral to the next program.
- Refunds not available after you start a program or certificate.
Deferrals: Participants may defer to a future program; transfers are valid only within one year of the original program start date. It is the responsibility of the participants to enroll in a course, at which time the balance will transfer. After one year, the balance is nonrefundable.
