The World is Your Classroom

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts.” - Mark Twain

Enhance the experience you have on UNO's campus by traveling and studying abroad. Not only will you have the experience of a lifetime, but you'll also come home with a global perspective and an intercultural awareness that will help you in life and in your career.

As an Islamic Studies minor, international experiences are especially insightful, as they help students situate the knowledge gained in the classroom and it gives a face to the study of international politics.

In the past, we have organized study abroad tours to Turkey, Oman, and Morocco. Speak with your advisor about the opportunities available, and visit the Study Abroad website.
