Professional Development Committee

The professional development committee explores mentorship and training opportunities and advises the executive committee on programming for AAC meetings.


Responsibilities

  1. Coordinates annual AAC Professional Development Day
  2. Collaborates with local higher education institutions to coordinate professional development opportunities.
  3. Coordinates networking events on and off campus throughout the year and networking following each AAC monthly meeting
  4. Purchase NACADA webinars and schedule time for all UNO advisors to view them and participate in discussions
  5. Manage the Mentorship Program for UNO advisors
  6. Plan and execute our annual Professional Development Day event
  7. Survey the AAC members on PD topics they would like to learn about and determine ways we can provide more PD opportunities to the advising community
