The UNO Speech Center assists all UNO students, faculty, and staff in preparing oral presentations and/or incorporating them into their courses.

Speech Center Offerings

The Speech Center includes two rooms--the Basic Course Room and the Speech Consulting Room.

Basic Course Room Provides:

  • Support for students in a basic speech course that fulfills the UNO oral communication general education requirement (i.e., the Public Speaking Fundamentals course).

Speech Consulting Room Provides:

  • Consulting and coaching services for all UNO students, graduate students, faculty, and staff from all disciplines.
  • Assistance to faculty in support of a Speaking Across the Curriculum effort at UNO.
  • Assessment documentation for the UNO oral communication general education requirement.
