Biography
Zachary Hamilton, Ph.D., is a professor of criminology and criminal justice and serves as the associate director of the Nebraska Center for Justice Research at UNO. Hamilton’s research is centered on adult corrections and juvenile justice agencies and on creating assessments that are optimized for their agency’s needs to help improve the lives of inmates and the greater community.
Hamilton has authored numerous publications, book chapters, and articles on risk and needs assessment, evidence-based practices, correctional program efficacy, recidivism in youth and adults, juvenile offenders, gender bias in the justice system, and more. His work has been recognized by the American Society of Criminology and highlighted in publications such as Crime & Delinquency, Justice Quarterly, and more.
