Michelle Black is an expert in deterrence theory, political violence, insurgency, and national security, with extensive experience in U.S. defense and foreign policy.

Biography

Michelle Black, Ph.D., frequently provides insights on political violence and U.S. foreign policy for local and national media, as well as defense communities.

With over 17 years of experience with the Department of Defense, her research focuses on adversary decision making and deterrence strategies.
